The market offers a wide range of solar systems of different prices and quality. When deciding to buy and calculate the return on heat solar system, the following should be considered in particular:

  • lifetime of the solar system, which with the materials currently used is usually of 25 – 30 years,
  • acquisition costs of the entire solar system including the installation – specific to the situation (the number and location of collectors, the storage capacity, the length of the connecting pipes, etc.), they normally range from € 2,000 to € 4,000 or even more,
  • operating costs are minimal, they include consumption of electricity to drive the circulation pump with an output of 25 – 40 W approximately € 6 / year and the exchange of the heat transfer fluid every 6 – 10 years in the amount of approximately € 100,
  • possibility to use subsidies from the Programme of a Better Utilization of Biomass and Solar Energy in Households, the amount of savings in energy costs depending e.g., on the annual production of heat achieved by using solar system, energy prices within the previous method of heat production and not least on water consumption or heat consumption in a particular household.
