We recommend mounting collectors on a roof oriented towards the south – the azimuth of 180° with an inclination of 45°. In case of deviations from the foregoing azimuth 180° ± 45 °, it is not necessary to make corrections of the collector area. Where deviations of 180° ± 90°, we recommend to enlarge the collector area by 30%. A southwest orientation of collectors is more favourable than a southeast orientation since fog in the afternoon is not so common and ambient temperatures are higher than in the morning hours.
We recommend that the inclination of collectors shall be identical with the roof pitch. Within the inclination of the roof 40° to 50°, it is not necessary to adjust the collectors. For a full-year use, the optimum inclination is of 45° to 50 °, for the use predominantly in summer 30°, in winter 60°.
